Types of Sustainable Concrete

High Recycle Concrete

This concrete uses byproducts like fly ash and slag and produce mixes with up to 50 percent recycled cementitious materials without reducing strength and durability and therefore it provides more sustainable work and also help to get LEED certification  

      

High Albedo Concrete

High albedo concrete is a light-coloured highly reflective concrete that provides many environmental benefits. As name shows light coloured concrete it consumes less heat and reflects more light than dark-coloured materials, which helps to make a lower surface temperature and therefore useful in parking lots and roads. In turn, this can reduce energy requirements needed to cool buildings. In addition, these light-coloured pavements require less site lighting at night, which can also save energy.

Filtercrete Pervious Concrete

It is a very innovative building material.Filtercrete allows rainwater to pass through the concrete and settle back in the ground by abolishing the fines in this concrete.Filtercrete pervious concrete is a special high-porosity product that provides plenty of sustainability benefits. This product is most often used for parking lots, sidewalks and driveways.
